“The Post” is a “Thrilling Drama” about the unlikely partnership between Katherine Graham (Meryl Streep) and Ben Bradlee (Tom Hanks) both of the Washington Post. The two together race to catch up with The New York Times to expose a massive cover-up of government secrets that cover three decades and four U.S. Presidents. The two allies must over-come their differences to help bring deeply buried truths to light. The story unfolds from there…
Plain and Simple…Meryl Streep portrayal of the first ever female publisher of an American Newspaper was Brilliant!!
“The Post” gives you “Old School” reporting and reminds you of times long since passed where Newspaper Reporters pound the pavement to get the scoop. The story moves along quickly and shows an accurate account of the events that occurred.
“The Post” is an excellent collaboration between Spielberg, Streep and Hanks.
This is a 4 Star Movie!
I just saw it tonight and really enjoyed it as well. Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks are amazing
I am glad you enjoyed The Post. Yes, Meryl and Tom are awesome!!
I keep meaning to ask you what your thoughts about the Oscar nominations are
For the first time I am a bit baffled by the nominations. I only saw 2 or 3 of the nominated movies. That is way below the norm for me. I did not have any interest in viewing the majority of the movies nominated so this will be an off Oscar Year for me…
Ok so it’s not just me. I usually plan a party around one of the nominated movies and I’m glad I didn’t this year. Also, I feel like Greatest Showman was snubbed in a few areas. Costume design? Production design? Something. I was really surprised that it didn’t get anything more than it’s one song. Also, the shape of water with 13!?! Did you see it? I haven’t but the previews look so strange that I’m just baffled.
I did not see The Shape of Water. From what I heard it should not have received any. No Oscar Party here…
I did not see Greatest Showman. I heard from 5 people that it was surprisingly good. It was never on my “Watch List” and when it opened I was about to get married and had 4 other movies on my radar. I do want to see 3 Bill Boards Outside Ebbing, MO. I have a lot going on right now, so it’s tough for me to play catch up on movies I missed. Now there are new movies about to open that are on my radar like The Black Panther. I can;t wait to see that.
