Mortal Kombat II

Mortal Kombat II

I was finally able to see this installment. It’s been 5 years since the previous one. I am still trying to decide if I really liked this installment or not. I spent a good bit of time watching the movie from between my fingers as the battles were so intense and at times bloody, I was sure the good guys would not win.

This installment brings Johnny Cage to the Fan Favorite Champions who are then pitted against one another in an ultimate no-holes barred gory battle to defeat the Dark Rule of Shao Kahn that threatens the very existence of the Earthrealm and its defenders. The Story unfolds from there…

Karl Urban’s portrayal of Johnny Cage made this installment interesting and provided some comic relief.

A lot of this movie is intensely violent and very bloody. There is breath-taking cinematography and some really cool special effects. The action is non-stop and the suspense is nail-biting.

They did a good job with continuity as there are 4 returning characters from the 1st installment.

If you are a martial arts fan or a fan of the video game, you will find a major portion of this movie very intriguing.

This is a 3 ½ Star Movie!!

Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu in AMC Dolby

A new Installment in the Star Wars Franchise!

This installment finds the Evil Empire as we knew it has fallen. The Imperial Warlords remain scattered across the galaxy.

What’s left of the New Republic works to protect everything the Rebellion fought for; they have enlisted the help of legendary Mandalorian, the bounty hunter Din Djarin and his little apprentice Grogu.

The story unfolds from there…

The action and intrigue are non-stop. The Cinematography, special effects and AMC Dolby aspects are all on point.

There are portions of the movie that are intensely violent. But remember this is a Star Wars movie, so a number of nasty battles should be expected. There is no limit to the number of horrible looking monsters.

There are several small stories ongoing which helps to keep you engaged.

It was great to see actress, Sigourney Weaver. She is such a Bad Ass!

If you are a Star Wars fan, this installment should not be missed.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 in AMC DOLBY

The Devil Wears Prada 2 in AMC DOLBY

I was so very excited when I learned 18 months ago that another installment was coming. The first “Devil Wears Prada” was AWESOME! My Mom and I laughed until we cried.

It’s been 20 Years. Miranda, Emily, Andy and Nigel are back! No one has missed a step!

The Team returns to the fashionable streets of New York and to the sleek offices of the Fashion Magazine known as Runway.  Let’s not forget the Fashion Capitol of the World, Paris, France is also part of this saga.

Meryl Streep has not lost a step literally. The whole team was still at the top of their Fashion Game taking things all the way to Paris Fashion Week. The clothes and shoes worn and the handbags that were carried were just outstanding.

The movie contains beautiful fashions never seen before. The team of Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, Ann Hathaway and Stanley Tucci were on point, but sadly there was no plot or story to this installment. Things moved slowly at the beginning but did pick up mid-way thru the movie. There was also a cool performance by Lady Gaga.

What was done is still worth seeing if you loved the 1st installment, you enjoy fashion and Meryl Streep.

I still enjoyed the movie although there was no plot. The Dolby aspects were on point.

I saw the movie Friday Evening May 1st. The theater was packed.

“The Devil Wears Prada 2” is worth a Look.

This is a 4 Star Movie!
