Breaking In

What a way to start May at the movies…”Breaking In” is so bad you will want to “Break Out” of your theater seat and leave…

Gabrielle Union is Shaun Russell, she has to save her children when they are held hostage in their home that has been designed with impenetrable security. Shaun Russell will stop at nothing to save her children. The story unfolds from there…

No real context of the events is provided. There needed to be a back story to set the stage, but unfortunately it was non-existent.

The only positives are Gabrielle Union did what she could with what she was given and the events happened quickly. Gabrielle Union will remind you of John McClane (Bruce Willis) from the Die Hard franchise.

No Need to waste your money wait for “Breaking In” on Cable.

This is a 1 Star Movie!

Tyler Perry’s Acrimony

You know that old phrase “Hell Hath No Fury like a Woman Scorned”. Tyler Perry’s Acrimony is all about that.

Taraji P. Henson is Melinda a loving faithful wife who stands by her devious husband through thick and thin until he proves unfaithful and untrustworthy.

“Acrimony” is a take on “Fatal Attraction” although the slow pace makes the movie a bit difficult to watch. There is no real suspense or intrigue. The story is complex and not truly explained. There is no real back story. The voice-over narrative could have been left out. Taraji P. Henson is the best element in the movie, unfortunately that’s not enough.

Sadly the movie ends on a bad note and that is the cherry on top of the bad Sundae!!

This is a 2 Star Movie!
