Superman in IMAX

Superman in IMAX

DC Comics / Studios got this one right!!

This new Superman installment finds Superman Being drawn into battles at home and abroad. His actions at times are questionable which gives the tech billionaire Lex Luthor the opportunity to try and remove Superman for good.

Lois Lane, Superman’s four-legged companion, Krypto along with a few other Super Friends launch a mini mission to try and save Superman. The story unfolds from there…

The movie is fast-paced, with tons of action, violence, suspense, special effects and fantastic cinematography. The IMAX aspects are excellent.

This Superman is very engaging and appears very human. This is an excellent installment from Director / Screenwriter James Gunn.

If you are a DC Comics / Superman Fan, This installment should not be missed. It’s great in IMAX.

This is a 4 Star Movie!!

The Day The Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie

The Day The Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie

This is the second of potentially 4 Movie Reviews that I will post before March 31st.

I actually saw this movie Wednesday evening March 19th

“The Day The Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie” is the first ever fully animated feature film from Warner Brothers for the Looney Tunes Franchise. Looney Tunes ran a series of short animated films from 1930 to around 1969, alongside its spin-off series Merrie Melodies, during the golden age of American animation.

That’s not all folks! Porky Pig and Daffy Duck, one of the greatest comedic duos in history, are making their hilarious return to the big screen in this sci-fi comedy adventure, THE DAY THE EARTH BLEW UP: A LOONEY TUNES MOVIE. Porky and Daffy are the unlikely heroes and Earth’s only hope when facing the threat of an alien invasion. In this buddy-comedy of epic proportions, they race to save the world after Daffy uncovers a plot that uses Bubble Gum!!

The movie delivers all the laugh-out-loud gags and vibrant visuals that have made the Looney Tunes Franchise so iconic, but on a scope and scale yet to be experienced. It’s going to be out of this world!

This is just plain funny and we need the laughs right now!! Shame on Warner Brothers for not advertising and pushing this movie out in February when originally planned.

This is a 4 Star Movie!!

Mortal Kombat in Real 3D Dolby

Mortal Kombat in Real 3D Dolby

“Mortal Kombat” was not on my original watch list, but I decided to go see it on the BIG SCREEN.

It’s been 26 years since the first “Mortal Kombat” arrived on the movie scene. Has anything changed…Not really?  The players have changed, but the premise of the movie remains the same.

This version feels empty. The movie is “In Your Face Bloody”, Loud and Plotless. Although you could say that the plot is getting to the tournament to fight.

Instead of all the noise to get to the tournament, the movie should just be about the tournament. There will most likely be another installment. The door remains open. This installment mostly matches up with the video game of the same name.

The movie is entertaining, has lots of action and some intrigue. If you like martial arts, you will be entertained. The violence is “Eye-Opening”. As I previously stated, Bloody.

The story sort of stops short of a real ending, you are left to wonder. If you are invested in the Mortal Kombat Franchise, then you will want to see this installment. The fight sequences look good on the big screen.

Save your money and see it on HBO MAX unless you just want to get out and be in the theater.

This is a 2 ½ Star Movie!!
